2 Clips from Tiffany & Eric's San Francisco Wedding

Tiffany & Eric's wedding last year was spectacular to say the least. From the pre-cermony at Tiffany's parent's house (which felt more like an actual party than the "pre-party"), to their ceremony at the incredible Sts. Peter & Paul Church in North Beach, it was just fun all day long.

Thanks to Martin Meyer for coming along with me on this shoot.  Martin is ALWAYS a huge help when we shoot in CA.  Thank you for all of your help Martin.

We also had the pleasure of shooting along side two of wedding photography's big hitters.  Ann Hamilton and her "assistant for the day", Gene Higa composed the all-star team of photographers for Tiffany & Eric.

Congratulations to the Presidio School of Management's 2009 Class

Today is graduation day for San Francisco's Presdio School of Management's class of 2009! The Presidio School of Management is a learning community dedicated to developing business and civic leaders with the competencies and courage to implement their ideas for creating a sustainable future. First Floor Films created this video send-off which will be playing on the big screen this afternoon as the graduation ceremony begins. We are honored to be a part of the celebration of the fantastic achievements of the graduating class of 2009. Congratulations to all the graduates. Best of luck in your future endeavors. Melinda & Michael Pre-Ceremony | Thomas Fogarty Winery

Melinda & Michael held their wedding just south of San Francisco, in the hills above Silicon Valley at Thomas Fogarty Winery. They had an absolutely beautiful, cloudless and HOT day for their celebration. The event space at Thomas Fogarty is really stunning as it sits over-top the hillside vineyards with a never ending view down to the valley below. It really makes for a spectacular setting for a wedding. Congratulations Melinda & Michael, your full video should be arriving in the mail today. I hope you enjoy it! Joyce & Addy | Photo Session

Joyce & Addy held their wedding on a warm and gorgeous day at Corde Valle Resort, tucked away in the hills above Silicon Valley in San Martin, California. We were very happy to be a part of their celebration. Joyce looked stunning in all 3 of her dresses that day. Happy 2009 everyone! Now that the LOOONNNGG Christmas break is over, it is back to work in a major way. This means no time for blogging right? Wrong!! Well, sorta....no time for a wedding related entry. Instead I've decided to post just a few pics from the most recent rolls of film I had developed. All of these were taken with my lovely point and click of a camera.....the Holga. Put simply, this camera is a black plastic box that you load 120mm film into and snap away. Very easy and lots of fun.....with unpredictable results! Enjoy.

Pre-Ceremony | Annalyn & Ron

Annalyn & Ron were married in San Francisco in May of 2005.  Their wedding was one of our very first, as 2005 was the first full year of First Floor Films' existence.  Why is their video now on the blog?  Well.....because back in 2005 before we knew better, we were labeling our final DVDs with stick on CD labels.  They looked great! But, over the course a few years and, happily in Annalyn's case, after watching her DVDs over and over and over.....the stick on labels began to warp the actual DVDs, rendering them unreadable by most DVD players. 
So, Annalyn has not been able to watch her cherished wedding video for over a year!  I am currently re-printing some DVDs for Annalyn & Ron with printable faces (non-stick labels) and in the meantime I wanted to post a clip for Annalyn, Ron and their familes to watch as they haven't been able to see their video in quite sometime.  Your DVDs are almost done Annalyn.  You will have your wedding video back very shortly! But, here is a little teaser for you and your family all around the world!

Back to SF...Out of the Office

This summer has been absolutely non-stop, Go-Go-Go!  Weddings almost every weekend, engagement shoots, our own wedding, a honeymoon in Costa Rica....and now back to back to back weddings in San Francisco! 

We will be out of the office and in San Francisco from Thursday-Tuesday.  We've got a Friday wedding at my favorite church in the county, St. Peter & Paul's in North Beach, a Berkeley Botanical Gardens wedding on Saturday and then on Sunday we return to Thomas Fogarty Winerey for our final wedding of the weekend.  Phew!

So, while we're gone, please enjoy a clip from one of our Fall 2007 San Francisco weddings.  Azita & Carlos had a very beautiful and emotion filled wedding ceremony at The Asian Art Museum in San Francisco.  This is the ceremony segment from their highlight reel.  I love the way that you can just feel how proud Azita's father is of both her and his soon to be son-in-law.

At the end of May, Event coordinator and alum of the Presido School of Management, Corina Beczner of Vibrant Events brought us out to shoot this send off video for the graduating class of 2008.
We interviewed about 2 dozen students throughout the day. Many of them, came straight to us immediately after having given their thesis presentations to a panel of professors. This is their testimonial to the school and their fellow classmates.

Out of The Office and In SF for the Weekend

I will be out of the office and in San Francisco from Friday 5/16 - Monday 5/19.  We have an exciting video shoot on Saturday with wedding planner, Corina Beczner of Vibrant Events.  Corina is a graduate of The Presidio School of Management, which is a graduate program offering online courses centered on sustainable business development and social entrepreneurship.  Corina tapped First Floor Films to shoot a video piece for the graduating class of 2008.  I'm very excited to shoot this video.  More details to follow in the coming weeks.  Have a great weekend everyone!

Coming Soon....Azita & Carlos

Azita & Carlos were married at The Asian Art Musuem in San Francisco on a rainy day in November.  They had originally scheduled their wedding for May of last year only to have to move their wedding date to November....and then it rained.  I know that Azita was initially not too happy with the weather.  But the rain kind of gave everything that "warm fire on a cold day feel".  Very relaxed, very calm...almost dreamlike.  Azita was also possibly the most beautiful bride that we have had the pleasure of working with.  Her grace, calm and elegance on her wedding day was a joy to witness and I only hope that I was fortunate enough to capture some of that on film.
