Sharon & Alex held their wedding at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown in November. We were on hand to capture the day in both video and Super-8 film. We absolutely LOVE working with Super-8 film as it gives the wedding movies such a unique and nostalgic look. Sharon & Alex's late autumn wedding was a perfect affair to be captured with the vintage look of Super-8 film.
This is a trailer that I put together recently from some of the film footage shot during the pre-ceremony, the photo shoot around City Hall in Philadelphia led by Jenn Childress and several parts of the reception. Enjoy!
A few months ago I met my good friend Martin Meyer in Brooklyn as we traveled onto Shelter Island, NY to shoot Carrie & Tim's wedding. I was along to shoot with the "relatively" new camera, the Canon 5D Mark2. Brides, you may not know what this is nor may you care....I don't blame you. But any video dorks out there will have definitely heard of this remarkable camera. This was my first attempt at shooting a full wedding with this camera. Below is a short trailer I cut together in an effort to see what I had come away with on my virgin run with the Mark 2. I hope you like it! To see the true HD version click HERE:
We had the privilege of being a part of Jolee & Zareh's very moving Armenian ceremony, the first that we had ever taken part in. We followed the ceremony up with a wedding reception at Chescaphe's Atrium at The Curtis Center. It was a party and a half. Such a nice night to have a wedding reception in downtown Philadelphia. This was also one of the many weddings (including our own) that we spent side by side with Dollface Studios. Congratulations Jole & Zareh. Enjoy your coming soon trailer. Lots more is on the way.
Just the other day I received a beautiful thank you note from Lauren & Anthony, who Held their wedding last year at Congress Hall in Cape May, NJ. Lauren has been so good to us since we first met her and Anthony almost a year ago. We had such an incredible time with them on their wedding day, mainly because THEY were having such a great day together! Thank you Lauren & Anthony for such a nice card. Dawn and I hope to see you both again soon!
The photography on their thank you cards was done by the lovely and talented Kamila Harris.
The following clip is Lauren & Anthony's "Coming Soon" Trailer. Enjoy!
Ashley & Matt held their wedding and reception at Appleford on Philadelphia's Main Line. Their outdoor ceremony was very beautiful and very unique as Ashley & Matt each wrote their own vows. My good friend Joy Moody handled all of the photography. Check out Joy's view of the day here.. The following clip is a brief "preview" of all that is still to come. Congratulations Ashley & Matt. Enjoy your trailer.
Barb & Mark held their wedding at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul in Philadelphia. We shot a few rolls of Super-8 film during the preparations, the ceremony and a little bit after the ceremony while we still had some light. A squirrel ran through the ceremony as well but I was unfortunately not quick enough to capture the little guy on film! Barb & Mark followed their ceremony with a beautiful reception hosted at The Cescaphe Ballroom.
I also had the pleasure of working closely with photographers Gabriel & Phillip Fredericks of Phillip Gabriel Photography.
Congratulations Barb & Mark. Enjoy your Super-8 film!
Dawn and I first met Lauren & Anthony for coffee at our local Starbucks. We all talked and laughed and immediately enjoyed each others company. Leading up to her wedding, Lauren had kept in touch with us through numerous unique, personalized and perfectly hand written cards. I still have them all in my office! So, when their wedding came around, we just knew that this one would be special.
Lauren & Anthony held their wedding this past fall at Congress Hall in Cape May, New Jersey. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. These two just had so much fun together. Which in turn rubbed off on everyone in attendance. They must have been sore the next day from smiling and laughing constantly. I mean, just count the number of times they smile in the following clip! Congratulations you guys! There is much more to come.
PS: Keep an eye out for photographer, Kamila Harris working it for my camera as well! Like I said....we all had fun.
That's right. Us...as in our wedding. The trailer for our wedding is now online! I really enjoy creating these preview trailers. I was actually a bit nervous when I started this one because I thought that it would be too difficult to edit my own wedding. But, thanks to the absolutely incredible camera work by my video idols, James and Andrea of James Ryan Films, this was actually a breeze AND a lot of fun to edit. Our wedding in July really was just the best time. We had so much fun with all of our friends and family. Thank you so much to all of you. If Dawn and I have one regret from our wedding it's that we never got on the microphone to express how much it meant to have all of you there celebrating with us. Really, Thank you so very much everyone. You made our wedding day the best day of both our lives. We love you all and we feel so lucky to have been able to share our special day with each and every one of you. Lots of love.....Dawn & Pete PS: Thank you cards are on their way! We are ordering special cards that are taking a while to get here. Well, because we haven't really ordered them yet. But they ARE coming........once we order them.
Philadelphia's Please Touch Museum has been located at 21st Street in Philadelphia since...oh since I was a kid! I can remember super exciting trips to visit The Please Touch Museum and The Franklin Institute all in the same day.
Well, this October the Please Touch Museum will be moving from downtown Philadelphia to a HUGE new location in Fairmount Park. Memorial Hall, originally built for the Centennial Celebration of 1876 will be the new home to the Please Touch Museum.
Enter NorthStar Advisors. NorthStar was the project manager responsible for taking a somewhat rundown 132 year old building and bringing it into the 21st century. We created this video for to show the restoration and renovation process that they implemented in creating this new home for the Please Touch Museum.
Azita & Carlos were married at The Asian Art Musuem in San Francisco on a rainy day in November. They had originally scheduled their wedding for May of last year only to have to move their wedding date to November....and then it rained. I know that Azita was initially not too happy with the weather. But the rain kind of gave everything that "warm fire on a cold day feel". Very relaxed, very calm...almost dreamlike. Azita was also possibly the most beautiful bride that we have had the pleasure of working with. Her grace, calm and elegance on her wedding day was a joy to witness and I only hope that I was fortunate enough to capture some of that on film.
